The Tool Factory was a social enterprise established in 2005 to develop tools and resources for social entrepreneurs. It provided a number of free e-books on business planning, measuring social impact and other topics. It also developed and sold a range of different software tools including Business Plan Writer, Social Impact Tracker and E-News Writer in partnership with other social enterprises across the world.
Over 1000 social entrepreneurs used Business Plan Writer to help them write their business plans for their social enterprises.

We are making available The Tool Factory's free resources here on the For More Than Profit site. Although Business Plan Writer is no longer available, Social Impact Tracker is still going strong at www.socialimpacttracker.org
